【How the client found TBEP】

  • Through the Tokyo Metropolitan Government official website

【Purpose of using TBEP service】

  • A Middle Eastern sales broker for pharmaceuticals, etc. needed to search sales brokers in Tokyo for cosmetic-related products and towels.

【Their questions】

  • The client has acquired a dealership from a reliable Middle Eastern manufacturer and wanted to expand its sales network in the Japanese market. Since there is a limit to their current marketing efforts, the client asked support from the TBEP.

【Our responses】

  1. Cosmetic-related products:
    We judged that it is comparatively easy to sell this product in Japan because it is outside the scope of application of quasi drug pursuant to the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act. As a result of making a referral to a related major retailer, we were introduced to several suppliers.
  2. Towels:
    Regarding the towel products that use high-quality cotton (towel, bath towel, bathrobe, etc.), the client is negotiating with several retailers through its own efforts. The TBEP made initial approaches to two wholesalers and introduced the person in charge at each wholesaler to the client. Immediately after that, the client started negotiation with these wholesalers to realize dealings, and the TBEP was informed that the client received favorable responses from the wholesalers.

【The results】

  1. Cosmetic-related products:
    The client completed the procedures to start practical dealings with the distributors of the major retailers and is waiting to receive actual orders.
  2. Towels:
    After delivering presentations of the products to the wholesalers recommended by the TBEP, the client will commence negotiations to decide brokers aiming at realizing dealings with them.
